Lithonia Georgia rapper Zane Smith has released his first song and project of the new year. 'Noise' is the title of his new smooth, short, yet sweet three-song boom bap EP.
After being kicked out his parents house, Zane Smith faced many things in this new life; a lot of distractions or 'noise' for an artist focused on his craft.
The album is named after a design term, like previous albums by the artist and former graphic designer. The cover art features noise, or a grainy image. Zane Smith sits on the bed in a rooming house on the Westside of Atlanta, a step-up from the streets and the men's homeless shelter he had just came from. Now, with some space of his own and time on his hands, he wrote the lyrics expressed on this album. Listen now.
Hear Zane Smith talk about the 'Noise Ep' and the stories behind the album in this candid interview with Atlanta Unplugged.

Each song is associated to a different color and mood. This collection of tracks is an emotional roller coaster of sounds, subjects and lyrics showcasing Zane’s versatility.
Each of he the songs was released one at a time whether one month or three months apart. "I had always just released album, whole projects at once. This time I had the album, but I released one song at a time so that I could build my audience and give listeners a chance to enjoy and understand the track before moving on to discover more. It had worked. There are more listeners now and the Smith Family is growing EVERY DAY." - Zane Smith
