Metro Atlanta rapper Zane Smith created a docu-series titled “Single” after releasing latest single, “It’s Cool” a song about a relationship that didn’t work.
“As an artist, I don’t think people realize what it takes, how much work goes into not only creating a song, but releasing it, promoting it, building a fan-base, etc, all while balancing personal life. As a result, I created a docu-series ‘Single.’ – Philip “Zane Smith” Mincey
The self-produced show ‘Single,‘ originally went live on YouTube. Now, the show can be watched two episodes at a time on DeKalb25, Comcast channel 25 for DeKalb County, Georgia residents. The public access television network will air Zane Smith”s show every Saturday at 11:30 AM E.S.T. over the course of six weeks beginning Saturday, February 2, 2019.
Each episode discusses a different part of the artistic process, marketing initiative, as well as Zane Smith’s personal narrative. The goal of the show is to educate, inspire, and motivate. Viewers not in the DeKalb County are can watch now on YouTube.

“Taken off his fifth album, Life Sucks, the track traces Smith’s memories of youth when the weight of the world was much lighter. Over echoing piano chords and a no-frills beat, he reminisces on his childhood, but what starts as a bittersweet back-in-the-day jam eventually turns darker as Smith finds himself examining his place in the world and the circumstances surrounding his present state of being. “What’s the point of living? / What’s the point of kids when they gotta go through everything I did just to be a better me?” he ponders, questioning the value of innocence in a life that leads to pain and hardship.” Read full article.
